So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,
“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,
and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8:31–32 (ESV)

Sunday’s study was about Jesus’ call to His followers to abide in the Word. This admonition comes at a good time as we welcome the year 2024! Our church office was closed New Years Day, so it was a good day to get a fresh start.
We have a Bible reading chart available in the Commons that you can mark off passages you’ve read. I like to keep my journal out as I read. Sometimes the Lord gives a clear application and sometimes simply a principle of His that I can write out and apply as life progresses. People are all wired differently, so some like to jump around, some read different genres each day, and others, like me, like to keep reading through book after book.
However you do it, you can use the free chart to track your progress. Pick a pattern to use and begin. Someone said as little as 15 minutes a day can get you through the Bible in a year. What a great goal!
