CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

We love our children here at Calvary! We are excited to point our children to Jesus, helping them to know, follow, and love Christ!

Jesus said,

"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them,

for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 9:14

  • Children's Church

Children's Church is a year-round ministry to children ages 3 through 1st grade. The children are dismissed partway through the morning service for a time of songs, puppet show, prayer time, Bible story, craft or coloring, and play. Each child is encouraged to know, follow, and love Christ. For families who opt to keep their children with them throughout the entire service, we have activity bags with Bible coloring sheets and activity books available at the door.

  • Sunday School

Throughout the school year on Sunday mornings at 9:00, Calvary has Sunday school classes for ages 3 and up. We aim to keep Christ the center, helping each person to grow in knowing, loving, and following Him. Our teachers love the Lord and love children. They know how to make learning about the Lord an exciting journey. Come and visit and enjoy songs, Bible time, prayer time, crafts, snack, and friends who love Jesus!

  • VBS

Each summer Calvary hosts a Christ-centered Vacation Bible School in the evenings for children ages 3–11. Youth starting at age 12 are able to serve as junior volunteers. It is the highlight of the summer for many families as we focus on the love of Christ while having tons of fun! Join us next summer for songs, skits, Bible teaching, crafts, games, snacks, and small-group time, digging deeper into God's Word.

  • AWANA

Wednesday nights throughout the school year we have a wonderful children's Bible ministry called AWANA. Parents are welcome to stay for coffee and visit, or free to leave during the program after the children are signed in. Children sing songs, memorize Bible verses, play games, and hear solid Bible teaching.  It is a joy to see the children grow in knowing, loving, and following Christ.

Visit our AWANA page for more information.
